Card Shop-hopping Haul ✨

 Hello lovely beings ✨ 

BB and I spent the day perusing some of our favorite card shops, in hopes of picking up some pokemon packs to open together. With this new Battle Partners [Journey Together in English] set out, I'm fully chasing down all the cute new Iono arts!

Look at all the fire goodies we got out hands on 🥹 ✨! We stopped at Win Condition, CardsHQ, Dr. No's, and also received a couple whatnot packages when we made it back to mine. We sorted through the things that were his and mine, and jumped right into ripping through Battle Partners!

Sadly, I only got my hands on Iono's Bellibolt EX, and the Iono's Voltorb that I wanted. No full arts just yet! Our stop at Dr. No's didn't win us any poke packs, but we were able to pick out a couple other goodies!

Last but not least, my first go with Union Arena's Demon Slayer starter deck box. Found this bad boy at Win Condition, and had no clue Demon Slayer even had one! I lowkey [highkey] wanted to see what kind of special cards I might get. Of course the ones displayed on the back of the box, but it was still fun to look through them all!

You get a deck of 50 cards, 3 action point cards, and a paper play mat showcasing the Hashirah. The bottom shot shows one of each card I got in my deck box [and yes there are many a dupe lol!]. 

A card heavy day out is always nice every once in a while!

January Mail Haul 📦

I swear I didn't buy a lot...I swear I may be lying 🤥 

Let's ignore the amount, and hop right in!

I sell collectibles on Mercari, so it's def easy to end up turning around and spending. They're so similar to eBay in the sense of being able to acquire just about anything! The two sets of Build & Divide card packs [My Dress up Darling, and Demon Slayer] are for the Whatnot streams, but I also picked up a couple things for the PC. Two Marin Kitagawa Pins, and a fricken adorable Tohru Kobayashi to add to the collection. 

Speaking of eBay, I didn't refrain from spending a little skrilla there too. I don't know if you're aware, but we're about to get some DanDaDan TCG in late March guys. I went searching for anything I could, before I knew the release date. I was lucky to find a Deck box set to hold me over until the boosters get here! I want all the Okarun 🥹!

As I was saying about Mercari, selling on whatnot makes it super easy to go back and buy from the other streamers 😂! The One Piece cards are not for ya girl, lol. No worries, I still do not like the series. They are in fact for a friend I made while streaming. Now for the pokenon. My partner loves pokemon which made it super omega easy for me to fall back in love with them. I try to stick to buying only nostalgic ones, or ones that are just too darn cute. The top three, and Nemona were the ones I truly wanted.  The three 25th anniversary in the middle as well. The other two only made it to me because they were part of a lot with the others, and the Electrike I thought I wanted for nostalgia. Now that he's here I don't really want him in my PC 😅. I was too happy to get my hands on the B-side stickers, and the Gym pack.

Now this is just mail goodies part one, I'll attempt to do a part two for the end of the month too! What all has you mailman blessed your mailbox with this month?

I Don't Know Why I Need It....I Just Do 🐉! [graded card goodness!]

I've gone and added a couple more graded cards to the ol' card collection! These two were acquired through buying them through haggling with a friendly seller on eBay 🎉✨ 

I'd been watching a couple different Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid slabs on eBay, and finally decided to pull the trigger on these two. I think I'm even happier with these because I has already acquired my waifu-level slab first. So even though they aren't Tohru's character cards, per say, they still look amazing with also keeping her as the main focus. They were initially going to be a little over $40 to buy both, but the seller was kind enough to meet me at $28 and even included some really nice card extras! They're all just so cute 😩! 

For now they're displayed in one of my funko cubes. The next slabbies I want to add to the PC are My Hero Academia TCG, and maybe pokemon if I can decide which one's I want slabbed up 😅. I'm hoping to either stumble on, or get them graded myself.

Dr No's Comics and Games Annual White Elephant 2025 ✨

Whooo 🎊!! Time for the White Elephant celebration at my local comic shop, Doctor No's. I saw their announcement post on instagram, and strated racking my brain on which TPB [trade paperback] I was going to pick to be my "present". The rules? How could I forget!? You're able to enter if you purchase and "donate" a TPB, as long as it's 9+. It was hard choosing 😅. I didn't know if I wanted to go with just something I enjoyed reading, or if I wanted some holiday theme to it.

I didn't know if I wanted to go with just something I enjoyed reading, or if I wanted some holiday theme to it. I searched through many shelves, and ended up choosing Dark Ride.

                                

Since this was our second annual celebration, my partner and I were much more comfortable with interacting with anyone. Well, me lol. He's more outgoing than I, but I still believe he thinks this year was more fun than the last ✨. The stealing was comical, and one of the other girls and I kept stealing the same book from eachother! It was Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, which my partner ended up buying for me after since ol' girl ended up stealing it for the third time. Can't steal anymore after that *le sigh*. 

We had an amazing time, and got to keep some amazing trades!

I'm already super excited for next year's celebration!

GoodReads Reading Challenge 2024 📚

 Hello lovely beings ✨ 

My goal was to read 333 books, manga, comics for the year 2024. 

My lack of updating [and actual reading 😅] has left me at a total 85 books read, lol! 

[Gumma was definitely more than 1 page lol!]

As for 2025....I'm going to attempt to read 333 books yet again! 

I absolutely got dis! I've already got one book down for the year, look at me go! 

Ended up getting caught up with volume 10 of DanDaDan almost immediately after waking up 😅 ✨

That little success got me my "Janurary Reader"achievement, which I've never noticed existed til this year lol. 

All in all, I genuinely just want to do more day to day reading. Even if I don't fully achieve my lofty book goals, I'll just be happy to see a higher number than the year prior! What's on your reading lists this year? Also fishing for good suggestions!
