Celebrating Pokemon Day 2026

✨ Hello lovely beings ✨ 

Whoop whoop! Let's give it up for a whole 30 years of Pokemon! I can't be the only one older than Pokemon out here? Let's not think about that too long 😂! Pokemon Day fell on a Friday this year, so I had to go to work. Luckily, my partner was off so he went cruising for goodies to open up once I was freed from the shackles of capitalism. 

He was able to get me a Swablu Nano block set when he went to pick up a tin from Steel Collectibles, then we made our way to my closest five below for a couple multi packs. Then we had a trade night at Wolcow Gaming the following day, which meant we got to pit stop at Giant Sports Cards for a couple tins. 

Oop, almost forgot! Thursday, after BB scooped me from work, we made a quick stop at CardsHq since it was on the way home. I was way too excited to add a new Giovanni for my PC, as well as the sick holo Altarria. Even got to snag a couple cuties for poké friends!

You read right, these are our Gen 10 starters in the world of Pokémon 😅. As a baby who enjoyed the originals....I of course lowkey hate these guys off rip LOL. It's hard for me to hate dogs, so Pombon will be the first that I'll like, and Gecqua being the second....I want to hate Browt SO MUCH, but the memes and cute fan arts I've been seeing has officially sold me on all three. They better have sick af evolutions! I'm almost afraid to see what all new pokémon we get for this Wind and Water region coming up.

Trade Night!

I promise with my whole heart, that I will have balls to get much better recording to show off a proper trade night! Slowly getting over the stranger anxiety, since everyone stays being so delightful! What we don't see from the mini vid, is that I bought a new binder 😅. Trust me when I say it was needed 😂. Next mission shall be to do a showing of each binder with their needed purpose.

Used as a way to aesthetically please my want to collect my memories, I call them my everything journals. Of course it started as a way to doodle, and jot down thoughts about my days. The boys I like, the way people made me feel, adolescent thoughts. Which then transformed into this style of remembering, mixing in scrapbooking elements and the like. Because who am I kidding, I love just writing, but I also needed a way to showcase and use all the stationery I've collected over the years! It makes flipping back through them that much more enjoyable!

I like to Eat Eat Eat + Remembering my free will ✨

Sometimes I forget that I can do what I want. As long as I'm not hurting anyone or myself, per my own rules, then I can really do whatever I so please. I'm still an introvert with social anxiety, so I still wince at trying this at a larger scale. Food is a tasty and safe way to remind me of my free will though! 

TEA! 

I used to work at Teavana before Starbucks ate it alive, but it also helped me fall fully in love with Tea. How many things you could blend together to make something delicious, and possibly good for you! I remember my Manager telling me that I was abusing the teas by blending certain kinds and mixing/stirring/squishing to feel like I'm making sure I'm getting all my flavor.... it felt like a compliment 😂. Now, I do feel the need to pick up some loose leafs from the farmer's market to truly make my own tea blends pop, BUT doesn't stop me from getting more out of my fruit scraps with some added seasonings [ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc] and boiling water! 

Cottage Cheese?

Okay, for whatever reason, I've decided I want to like cottage cheese in my 30s 🤣. I'm a big flavor person, but also texture is very important for me. That little lid of compote was so appealing though, so retry I did. Alas...I didn't like it LOL, but since I'd bought a couple prior I think mom thought I wanted to try more and bought me more 😅 . Cannot waste, so had to find a way it would work for me. "Put it on toast"💡✨! I'm not in the world of cottage cheese, so this felt super new and diff to me, but tastes SO GOOD! With bananas, and honey added ontop of the compote of course lol. I think this will be a good go to breakfast once Im back full time at work. 

Avocados

Something else I didn't really enjoy until I was older, but now I can't get enough! Well, sometimes I need to slow down if my allergies/stress levels are running a lil rampant as the nickle inside doesn't sit well with my insides lol! Other than that, I could have it every other day and be happy. They can be used to make egg salad in place of mayonnaise [I love meat salads LOL], can be additions to meals [sammies, soups, salads], or even enjoyed on their own! Of course, mine will be drizzled with a little mixture I concocted as well as seasoned, but still enjoyed "on it's own"!

Eggs 🤤 

Eggs are possibly my absolute favorite thing to make. You can put damn near anything you so please with them. And I do! Leftovers become their bed for frying, or scrambled along with anything you cut up. I'm not an omelette maker, but if you have that skill, your combinations are endless! Some humans in my household would look at me a little funny, finding me making my combinations. All up until they taste it *smug smile*. Frying them with some spicy and potatoes makes for the perfect noodle additions everytime!

Are you an exerciser of free will through food? I suppose it's harder to make our own rules with baking, but I'm sure you flex your foodie free will more than you know!

Why I haven't been blogging - Play Together

"Free to play" was the beginning of the end. The productivity I thought I'd finally earned all came crashing down soon as the download completed! Okay, jk jk. Less with the dramatics, but downloading Play Together has taken a lot of my "extra" attention I used to devote to content creation. 

My social media isn't hurting as much, only due to the fact that I'd drafted a couple posts before finding out this game existed lol! I've just now noticed here that it's been a week since my last post 😅 . Might as well make a post about the reason why.

Okay, so Play Together is a casual social networking virtual world type game, very remniscent of Gaia Online mixed with the more current Fall Guys, with a dash of cozy game animal crossing-esque-ness. Perfect mixture to keep my attention focused on gathering supplies to gain in-game money to customize my ideal character and in-game home you say? Yes, yes it is!

I don't have a pic of my first character from the front. I didn't have many hair choices in the beginning, so l chose reddish pigtails from the options. I quickly figured out where the hair salon was hiding. 

I do enjoy the small amount of ethnic hair options they have, but eventually settled on this mini fro bantu knot betty boop looking hair.

From the mini games, to mini missions and daily tasks, there are endless things for you to do 🥹. You even have the options of having pets, minimes [which are little aliens?], and have a whole farm.

The only thing thats a little alarming is the ability to have in-game relationships. Like have a ring and all, like there aren't children in this game 😑!

I want this Yotsuba&! hair so bad!

I've been having too much fun trying to see what kind of selfies I can get with the camera.

So many random things to do. No getting bored!

Comic Artist Appreciation: Peach Momoko

 Hello lovely beings

Peach Momoko is a Japanese comic book artist, who immediately caught my eye when I first got truly into reading/collecting comic books. I had a rule where I wasn't allowed to buy any unless I was 100% sure I was going to read them. Quickly broken soon as I came across Peach's watercolors. I think I've truly only read two out of my whole collection 😅, but I don't intend not to read the rest ever! She's even done album art for the band Tool ✨ 

Reading I Hate Fairyland when I first got into comics probably wasn't the best idea. I was highly distraught that the inner art didn't match the cover, and probably made me a little biased against the storyline. On the other hand, Zawa was an adorable delight to read. I generally skew more spooky, demented, horror when looking for readable media to consume. 

Oop, just remebered I did also read Hello Darkness, so that's a whole THREE comics form my Peach collection that have been read. Nice 👍🏼✨ I adore how she mixes cuteness with nightmarish themes from time to time.

I will never get over how preciously her women of color come out. I was already smitten by how good she is with watercolors, but when I saw the Moon Girl for the first time [the first one I bought] I was in awe. The way she's able to show a beautiful assortment of complexions and different hair types ᵒ̴̶̷̥́ ·̫ ᵒ̴̶̷̣̥̀

Listen, she draws Magik so adorable for one. It was a MegaCon exclusive for two. Her last two or so variant exclusives sold out AND my close friend was selling it. So $65 doesn't truly feel like too much ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و ♡.

So far from my must read rule at this point TT_TT. I see now that I have also wrongfully left the title of Magik #1 where Gone #1 should be 😅...I know I still have the time to change it, but I've already typed out the explanation so let's move right along [LOL].

Some of the works I found where she did all the storyline and interior artwork for! She's got her own Momoko-verse where she tells the stories of Marvel characters through Japanese folklore, horror, and the like. Though I have not moved these over to the "read" stack, I do at least know that about these bad boys.

Don't you just wanna hug the Venom! Maybe not as much Miles, but he still looks damn cool.
