West Georgia Sportscards & Collectibles

 Hello lovely beings

I refused to believe that Florida had more card shops than we do. I finally just gave in and google searched for card shops near me, while out and about. This is how we stumbled on West Georgia Sportscards & Collectibles! After peeking through their google images, I was lowkey thinking the vibes wouldn't be as inviting. We couldn't be further from wrong!

We couldn't get into the card-shopping without a little yum on our tummies. So, we stopped at the Bagel Meister for a little brekkie. We've had breakfast here a couple times now, and they never disappoint. I usually get a bacon egg and cheese on a jalapeno cheddar bagel, and add their jalapeno cream cheese. BB usually gets a breakfast-style panini with breakfast steak. I'm not the most interested in steak meats, but his bagel is always oh so good!

Time to shop!

Growing up in a southern state as a POC, I do tend to get a little weary of the way some situations can go. That trauma definitely came through for this shop based off the images online, and the area it's located in. Soon as we walked in, we were kindly greeted by the two workers there! Not only that, they were both extremely friendly, and we had some great conversations about our diff collectible needs. All my ill thoughts quickly melted away.

 

Though the store is a little on the smaller side, there was still plenty to look at and find! Our main focus was their Astral Radiance and Temporal Forces hanging sleeved packs, but BB was even able to find some fire Wrestler cards, and some other vintage booster packs we hadn't come across before! BB ended up picking the Xmen '94 one. 

The spoils, plus we picked up some sushi and poke at the local Kroger.

The only good card we pulled from the Xmen pack was Magik lol! Almost every other card pulled were characters we didn't really recognize.

 Almost all of our Temporal Forces had hits. Not so much with the Astral Radiance 😭. Might have to give up trying to pull my special chases, and just go ahead and purchase the singles alone lol [cries cries cries]

BB had already picked up the Japanese version of this Gastly, but that didn't make me any less excited when it came out of my pack! And yes, I put it right next to the Japanese one in my PC. We'll definitely be visiting again!
