Mega Pokemon Recap ◓⃙ ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧

 ✨Hello lovely beings✨

When's the last time I got a Pokemon Recap in? That's not too important 😅. I'll do my best to credit the sellers/stores, but I'm promising no dates! May be all photo dump, but we shall see. Let's dive right in!

Finally completed my Gen IX starter evolutions illustration rare page in my toploader binder, and made an instagram account separate from my personal to showcase all the pictures I take of my collections. Attempting to find my community! I also have an account on Collectr [@etherealoctomaid], to keep track of what I got...so I don't keep buying dupes of cards already collected 😅.

The postal disrespect strikes again! Luckily the blister set has that thick card-stock backing, so it wasn't completely destroyed in transit. Now, we get into the dump part of the post ✨

If you made it through all this, you are the best! Biggest hit has to go to the Giratina V, hands down. Best pulls for our PC have to be Ethan's Ho-Oh for BB, and maybe the Riolu for me.

LCS Shop Hop ✨

✨ Hello lovely beings✨

Time for a LCS hop with BB! As if you can't already read 😅
We started out journey at East Atlanta Comics, with a clear mission of picking up some Victini boxes [and not too much above msrp 😩💕]

BB's been here a handful of times, but this would be my first visit. It feels like it's been too long since I'd been anywhere in Atlanta, so everything felt "new". The area was artsy, to say the least. I was too happy to see some Deku art. Love when there's appreciation for my son 💚! EAC is a cute hole-in-the-wall comic book shop, with more than just comics to enjoy! They have a couple glass cases that house some pretty interesting collectibles. Never did I think I'd see a graded Wacka Flocka Flame card, lol! They also had manga and artist books that were hard to say no to. Did I mention the fact that they had a nice variety of booster packs to choose from? Because they did. 

Look now, don't judge me for picking up a Playboy Booster too...I appreciate the female form and was curious to see how the cards look in person. Bite me  😅🤣. We're trying to downsize our comic collection, so I'm surprised we ended up with any. Only two each is a safe enough number, though. We'll allow it. I'm also too happy BB was able to snag up with DMG card for his PC too!

We did also stop at Win Condition on the way home, and was only going to pick up the Ogerpon box [since they had the best price], but I saw that Legendary Warriors Premium Collection, and decided we absolutely needed it! The box was a bit beat up, but we decided it was fine and kept it pushing. We're planning to open it anyways!

We opened errthang, and guess what our best hit was? Giratina V from a Lost Origin pack located in that beat up Legendary Warriors box from Win Condition! It always feels kind of fitting when BB gets to pull the biggest hit. All I care about is being able to call dibs on my chases 😝

Secondhand Pop-up @ The MKT

BB and I were out and about in the Woodstock, and saw a row of tents in front of The Market. It was a whole little outdoor second hand thrift set up! We made quick rounds because it was hot af outside, but ya girl did find some goodies at one tent!

I did not go into this thinking I would find jewelry, of all things! I have an allergy to fake and silver jewelries, so I tend to not pay too much attention to jewelry accessories. The blue vase necklace is what

initially caught my eye, and the other two pieces closely followed. I paid $8 in total for all three bits. I think the cuff will look cute with the right outfit, and the agate beads I can either wear as is or upcycle. Big gal win! The universe knew what it was up to though. The vendor of that tent was apparently someone BB knew back in the day. It made him catch back up with said person's sibling to get some money/charity sent directly to a family in Gaza! Good vibes all around...other than it being hot af 😅

Secondhand Shop Hop 🛍️

✨ Hello lovely beings✨

I forgot what our initial mission was [most likely something pokemon related 😅], but we ended up hopping around at a good bit of different thrift shops. 

We had to get some fuel in at one of our favorite tea spots, Tea Station. I ordered my usual Matcha latte with no cheese foam and no additions. BB ordered a mango green tea with no additions. We also got our favorite thing on the menu, the snack combination. It comes with golden crab sticks [fried, oh so fricken good 🤤], fried shrimp, gyoza, and Taiwanese chicken. 

Before our City Thrift stop, we stumbled on a "Black Friday" bins store that I will elaborate on in it's own post. I found too many goodies at City Thrift, and was also able to find a couple pieces at Uptown Cheapskate. I'll probably do a try-on/show-off haul post later, but for now please enjoy the sneaky peaky. Even though I was able to find about 3 full outfits, the Vera Bradly tote bag was possible the best find of all. 

Honorable mentions

Random finds that were fun to look at, but we decided to leave there. I think I might invest in a CD player, and record player. Until then, these "gems" need to stay here.

We finished our hop at our local 2nd & Charles. I honestly expected just to walk around, window shopping. Once I saw there was an unwrapped Girl on the Shore, I knew I had to flip that bad boy around to see if he was discounted. To my delight, I was able to snag this trauma manga up for a mere $7.50 🙌🏽✨. I found BB in the comic book section, finding good ones and making sure they were in the front of stacks for people to find. I took a little time to flip through the bin I was standing in front of, and look at these treasures! I'm only missing issue #3, but there was no way I was leaving these there.

Black Friday Bins Post

Adventure at the Black Friday Bins

 ✨Hello lovely beings✨

I've only ever seen tiktoks, and never knew one was close enough to check out for ourselves. I also had no clue about the different prices for different days, but didn't let $7 Saturday deter me from picking up all the bits and bobs that interested me. We were both a little on the tired side, so the only picture I got of the inside was this pic of BB 😅. I'm sure you can imagine a store size area filled with overstuffed bins. There were a couple people digging deep, filling shopping carts, but my rule was we could only have things we could carry in our arms. Some things were opened or dirty, but there was still so many clean/unopened things to choose from. Now, let's see what we found!

Pictured L/R: Hello Kitty stationery pouch, JJK poster set with stickers, 3 sets of invisible ink journal pens [counted as 1], Pokémon 4 pocket card binder, Crying Again blind box, and Crybaby keychain. The only thing that I feel like I overpaid for was the Hello Kitty stationery set. The only reason would be because the price sticker was still attached [$3], but I still felt like it was worth to pick up. I was too ecstatic for those Crybaby items. I yolked them up quicker than quick, and was surprised they were still there! I let mom have the cherry gals, and opened up the blind box for myself. 

Oop! I forgot we also got this treats tower for vending, a thick multimedia sketchbook 

for BB's niece, and a black hoodie for BB that I forgot to get a picture of.

Silly yet entertaining bits we left behind. We were so close to getting the mug because it had a matching pair to it, but definitely wasn't going to be coerced to pay $7 for one lewd anime sticker...I did briefly try to find the rest though 😆.

Bruh, look how cute! For $7, I was honestly going to be happy pulling any of these cuties. This lil tearful ducky was perfect. She is currently dangling on my Journal bag. The character card was also a sticker, so I used it quickly to decorate my new journal before I ended up losing it with my blind box fodder.

Have you ever visited a bins style thrift store? Do you find it easier to find treasures during the week, or still been able to find a deal of a steal on the weekend too? I'm honestly excited to try again on a lower value day. See if they still put out heat!
