Tokyo Otaku Mode : Second Purchase + Experience

It's about time give Tokyo Otaku Mode another go! I used to want to always buy one of their Fukubukuro Bags when I was younger, and instead remember buying cute plush keychains for the low from them. I'm usually pushed away by shipping, so I'm sure that's helped take me so long to finally place another order through them.

Order placed: Nov 25th Monday

I ended up picking out something for myself, something for my mom, and something to make a giveaway on whatnot!

When you sign up, you get to have a newbie coupon for $7 off. If you also sign up for their rewards system [free for your first 30 days + can cancel anytime], you get another like $10 off your first order. They're good at making you feel like you can't beat their prices!

Then, the initial excitement starts to wear off 😅. First, with having to tell myself that the shipping wasn't so bad with all the other savings I got. Second, is the actual ship time. I was going to wait for my order to be received before finishing up this here post, but I think I'll just do an update post if/when my order actually arrives. It's now Saturday December, 28th...and tracking hasn't been updated for a month. Good thing this wasn't going to be my mom's only Christmas gift, right 😅. Just goes to show that in 2024, you have to double check the validity of all websites you purchase from. Even if you've ordered from them years before.

This review on trustpilot [as well as many others] has summed it up quite well. My first experience with them had to be around 2014. Sadly, giving plenty of time for quality to drop. I gotchu on that update if ever my order arrives ✨
