I ended up ordering bowls from Pokeworks three times in the span of one week. They're absolutely doing something right! These two have been my frequent go-to orders so far.

Poke Salad Reg

includes 2 proteins

I picked a base of just salad this go round. My go to proteins, when it comes to possibly raw fish, are always crab and shrimp. I went a tiny bit different this go round by picking the chili crisp shrimp and chili crisp chicken and neither disappointed! I believe this was the first time having chicken in my poke bowl. My toppings included: Cucumber, Shredded Kale, Edamame, Mandarin Orange, Serrano Peppers, Cilantro, Hijiki Seaweed, Surimi Salad, Spicy Serrano Aioli, Hawaiian Salt & Chili, Ginger, Soft tofu, Spicy Furikake, Sesame Seeds, Chili Crisp, and Garlic Crisps! Can you tell she likes it spicy 😏🌶️✨

Absolutely delicious, and just the right amount of spice for me.

 Sweet & Crispy Shrimp Bowl

This was a redemption order for this Shrimp bowl. The first time I tried it out, I ordered it early and waited about two hours before clocking out for my lunch break for the day. This time, I clocked out almost as soon as it got here, so I could enjoy it "fresh". Please please eat it as soon as you get it, lol! I chose a half salad half rice base for this one, and my toppings were damn near the same. Cucumber, Shredded Kale, Edamame, Mandarin Oranges, Serrano Peppers, Cilantro, Hijiki Seaweed, Seaweed Salad, Surimi Salad, Green Onion, Ginger, Soft Tofu, Spicy Furikake, Sesame Seeds, Garlic crisps, AND chili crisps. 
Still mouthwateringly delicious, but adding the chili crisps on top of all the other spice was trying to take me ut for sure lol! I love my spicy, but I also know my limits. I ate majority of the bowl, but left maybe 1/8th of it alone. 

✨Specials✨

Just wanted to showcase one of their reoccurring specials on ubereats. They usually have an offer of spending $20 and get miso soup for free😏. The miso soup is always warm and delicious, with pieces of tofu and seaweed to enjoy. The smoothies...I really have nothing bad to say lol!

DanDaDan x Weiss Schwarz Booster Boxes are in!

The time is finally here! DanDaDan Weiss Schwarz booster boxes are now out!

Let's crack this bad boy open!

 

Funny enough, I forgot about the initial release date, and happened to see the boxes in stock at my local card shop while trying to find Gem Horizon boosters. They were out of stock of the Gem boxes, but we obviously didn't go home empty handed. Our favorite [mainly because we always see her, but she was such kind customer service too] cashier was there, and even let us pick some cards from her pulls!

Hints the Turbo Granny and Momo cards on top of the box lol! Just look at that sparkle! It was so hard to choose just two from her stack, but knowing I was opening a box of my own made it a little easier. The stinking adorable Houndour doesn't have much to do with DDD other than the fact that we picked him up for BBs PC on this trip too, lol!

Firstly, I adore all of the art. The pack art matches the booster box art so nicely. Even though it was hard to toss everything once the opening was done, I still successfully only kept one pack art for my pack art collection.

Each booster box comes with 12 packs to open, 8 cards in each pack, and a box promo card. We ended up getting Maneko Turbo Granny, and I immediately handed her over to BB as she is his fav [in Maneko form lol]. I am indeed trying to master this set, so I did end up keeping one of each card so far. I tried to donate some that I thought would be BB's favs to his collection, but he says he'll only accept if it's a dupe💕.

We ended up getting another box on a second card shop trip, so I'll lump those hits in with this box. Pulled Granny Seiko as our big box hit from the first box. Pulled her again in our second box [aye finally one for BB] BUT also ended up pulling a stamped, foil, Okarun card that is absolutely going to my PC! May have to get him graded, lol!

 I love the different textures and styles of cards this set has to offer. I haven't opened up a whole lot of different Weiss Schwarz packs, so I'm not sure if all the sets come with similar textured chases. Nonetheless, I'm definitely still super excited to see what characters get put into future sets! Who are you hoping to pull first?

2nd Chance Toys

Hello lovely beings✨

BB and I finally decided that we took enough time away from stopping into 2nd Chance Toys in Marietta. The mini hiatus wasn't for anything negative, we just frequented the shop a lot due to it being right next to one of our favorite comic book stores. Definitely gave them some time to get some new goodies in that we haven't seen yet!

The owners remembered us, and gave us a warm welcome back. My memory bank can't quite remember if that cutie has always been the designated guard dog/greeter, but if he is new he's just as adorable and sweet. Along with a little taste of what kind of action figures and super hero merch you might find in your visit. It was hard leaving some of those Kaiju figures there!

My favorite section is the anime merch area, which is directly to the right when you walk in. Once again....so many fricken cute figures I wanted to take home with me! I stayed disciplined, and ended up only picking out one blind box.

When we went to pay the cashier, and he saw me eyeing the Robocop booster packs. I honestly just though the fact that RoboCop had booster packs was cool, and was trying to get BB's attention to show him. The cashier...let us have one for the free! 

Mini loot haul

One of the workers is also the lead singer of a band, and they had flyers for an upcoming show. We took one, planning to go, but we ended up being too tired to make it.

Lady Tsunade?! That is a very happy reaction! I initially thought I'd only end up with one of the gals shown on the box, so I was pleasantly surprised when Lady Tsunade was who was actually within 🥰. I would have been okay with almost any of them, but am actually more happy that I got to pull an adult. She's going to look so good sitting on my desk.

Now you know we couldn't wait to crack this bad boy open! We definitely opened him up as soon as we got back to the car. This is a Topps set from 1990, a couple years before my presence graced this earth. The packaging is very similar to what old bubble gum wrappers felt like. It does make some sense since you receive a stick of gum along with each pack. Absolutely threw that 35 year old gum away, lol. Each pack is supposed to give you a chance to pull 9 cards along with a sticker card. We got some pretty memorable scenes in our pack, but also ended up with 2 stickers instead of one! The back side of the stickers also end up being a puzzle if you're able to collect them all.

Hopefully the photos have convinced you enough to pay them a visit, but if you need a recommendation from ya girl too, get your booty down there for some fire vintage collectible finds!

Atlanta Wing & Rock Festival 2025

✨  Hello lovely beings ✨ 

Can't get much better than a wing focused event with free entry! Me, BB, and BB's bestie got all packed up and headed on over to Canton GA for the Atlanta Wing & Rock festival. With this being an annual event, we were all quite excited to see what kind of game these wing places were bringing. 

First stop: Dre's Place. It was the closest one to the area we entered in at, and had a set of five wings for $7. The flavor was pretty standard, and wing size a good one. We all thought they were a tasty basic wing, but knew we had many more to try before labeling anyone the best. That friggen jumbo turkey leg was tempting, but we didn't want to get too full just yet, so we moved right along to the next stop.

Next stop was City BBQ

They had a pretty decent line, and a nice spread of a good bit of different flavored wings. I think we tried the Dirty Bird, Chipotle BBQ, and Honey Buffalo. The texture was decent, but the flavor was just ok to me. For them to look like they have a nice crunch, I wish it actually followed through when I bit in 😅. I think our favorite flavor ended up being the Chipotle BBQ out of the three.

I finally got to try out Tanghulu at the Flames & Skewers stand. Not only did I get me some yummy candied fruits on a stick, but I also went in for their Mexican-style Elote corn, and a beef skewer to share. Don't think we didn't snag up some of their korean bbq styled wings.

Once again, the wings were good but nothing too crazy going on with them. Everything was still tasty, and I'd def go back for more of their skewers!

Lastly, we've got our favorite, Nvous Cuisine ✨ 

We tried out their Spicy Blood Orange wings with a side of the Nvous Lemonade. When I tell you everything was flavored to perfection, I absolutely mean everything was flavored to perfection. My mouth is watering in memory just writing about them! I can't fully remember what price they had their wings at, but I do remember them having the best price of the lot. This was the only stand that we had to return to just to get a second helping! We're looking forward to visiting their location to try some of their other items too.

I'm surprised our pick wasn't up there! It makes me wonder if everyone actually tried their wings, lol 😅. I really wanted try out Finger Licking's wings, but we either didn't find them or just ended up doing too much before going looking for them.

I wish we bought more of the pound cake, but they had too many tasty sounding flavors to choose from!

March Memories

March 7, 10, 13, 25th: Birthday's Galore! So many of our friends and family celebrated birthdays in March. We celebrated one of our couple friends by having some fun at Bowlero ✨ 

March 14th: Pi Day, 3.14 get it? We enjoyed a "Pizza Charcuterie" Combo at Papa Johns

March 15th: A hard day for BB, but got to commemorate with a new tattoo.

March 22nd: Atlanta Wing & Rock Fest was delicious 😆. It was a consensus that NVous cuisine's Spicy Blood Orange wings partnered with their NVous lemonade was the best set of wings at the festival!

March 30th: Vending at CCS Nerd Yard Sale! Both of our first vending experiences. To be so unprepared, we had a really chill experience. Excited for the next one!

March Pokemon Recap

In this wild Pokemon economy, these are all the sets BB and I got to open in March.

 

Look at PokeGlob ya'll! We finally caught ourselves a decent vending machine restock! Not only did we finally get to add a Paradox Rift etb to the PC, but we also got a good bit of other packs to open together.

We got a couple hits, but I was most excited that BB pulled this Jirachi 😭! Soon as I saw he'd pulled him, I claimed him so quick 😅, lol. I've wanted him for so long. He'd pop up and tease me on whatnot, but I'd always lose him at the last minute! I forgot what else we pulled, but did get a Pikachu Ex to add to my Pikachu page, and Slowking Ex to add to BB's collection.

I'd won a bunch of packs on Whatnot. They weren't what I was trying to win, but might as well treat myself to opening them once they came 😅. I ended up pulling dupes of things pulled before, and only added Minccino to the PC.

BB and I were able to have our first vending experience at Charlie's Collectible Show! Which of course led us to go scope the other venders for what goodies we could pick up. BB ended up stepping away from the table at one moment, and came back with Iono's Bellibolt EX and Spheal IR for my collection 😭. Both being ones I've really wanted! We also traded a graded card we brought along for that purpose, and picked up the two tins! 

⋆༺𓆩🔥 Heat Wave Arena 🔥𓆪༻⋆

There were quite a few of the "full art" cards in this set, that BB and I were chasing. He specifically wanted Misty's Psyduck, and I really just wanted all the cute cards...which are majority of them, LOL! I was able to pick up Cynthia's Roserade, Misty's Lapras, Misty's Psyduck [ayeee!], Rotom, and some packs for us to from collectibleculture_mik3d05 on whatnot. They're all so friggen cute! We ripped and got the Judge SR, MC's Hype SR, and Yanma AR. I ended up buying Arven's Greedent AR, Rapidash AR, and Hydrapple AR from eBay since they were at a decent price. I still want to either buy or pull the Electrike AR, Ethan's Typhlosion AR, Cynthia's Garchomp SAR, and Ethan's Adventure SAR so bad!

Chinese Horizons Gem Pack Vol. 1

I almost didn't want to take part in this set, but look at those full arts! How can I not try to catch 'em all!? I really wanted to pull the Quaxly and Fuecoco first. I ended up pulling Sprigatito first, then Quaxley on our second go. Though I didn't get the Fuecoco with Roy, I did still get a Fuecoco I was gunning for. Also found in the Paldea Evolved Eng set and Triple Beat for Jpn. Of course we want that Captain Pikachu too, but I'm assuming he's the hardest to snag up 😅! We got a lot of cute baby shiny cards to add to our PCs, and there are plenty of other dumb cute cards in this set. I think BB almost has all the Pikachu....except for Captain!

Hello Kitty x Lush Collaboration 🛀

✨Hello lovely beings✨

Why..... WHY WHYYYYY did lush have to do a collaboration with Sanrio?! I had been happily staying away from lush products these days. I usually buy their goodies because they’re cute af, but don’t always end up using them in a decent time frame. Living that kind of lifestyle makes you toss a lot of sh*t 😅. Now, should I return just to snag some of these gosh dang cuties?!?! Asking as if I don't already have a couple of the items squirrelled away in my cart 🥹.

They even put a little Hello Kitty bow on the logo *adorably punching air*

If you claim to know me, you know I already have two of these Kuromi Bath Bombs sitting in my cart. One for me, and one for my mom of course, lol! Not only is she my favorite, especially out of the characters offered in this collab, but she seems to be the one that would smell the best to me. Not the biggest fan of artificial/man made cherry smells, but I think mixed with the other scents this may end up smelling really comforting. She's currently on order for presale, and should be dropping May 9th.

Now if Senior Cinnamaroll's description didn't make him sound like he smells too sweet, he'd too be sitting in my cart waiting for me to hit submit! He also seems to be available for order now, but I just cant personally sit in a tub of straight up dessert. I fear I would start to feel a little sick, as if I ate a whole cake myself  😅, that does not take away from this bath bomb also being dumb adorable!

Now, I think this Milk Bottle Bubble Bar would match pretty harmoniously with the Kuromi Bath Bomb. Which is why it too is sitting in my cart lol! He's the tiniest bit pricier, making a $4 jump from the bath bomb price, but I'm sure he's gotta be a little on the larger side in person, or possibly could be used for multiple baths 🤔.

Here are some of the other adorable goodies, along with a soap and shower gel that aren't shown here. Due to the possible sweetness in their scents, I don't think many of the other products in the line would be successful at gettin' ya girl's funds.

Valentine's 2025 ♥️

My dating history has been interesting to say the least. This current one though...next to spectacular. I finally feel right saying, "I found my person!" 

For Valentine's day, we only had plans to go out to eat and didn't mention anything about gifts. Low and behold, both of our themes seemed to be collectible card goodies. See what I mean when I said I found my person lol!

I wanted to make BB an exploding pokemon box for his birthday, but ended up not being to wait that long and did it for his Valentine's Day gift instead. I ended up doing the outer layer with graded cards I hoarded, the middle layer were japanese packs, and the inner all english. He loved it! For me, he was able to snag a Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Booster box, and I couldn't wait to rip every pack!

BB doesn't enjoy it if I'm just watching him open packs, so before dinner we opened them all up together. We ended up pulling so many hits, and a good handful were our chases too! I think I was most excited for the Quaxwell, since I really wanted that evolution trio from Paldea Evolved. BB's favorite pulls were most definitely the Ceruledge and Riolu! I was absolutely jealous of him pulling Riolu, but this is his gift and if one of us has it, then we both have it! Onto our delicious dinner 🤤. First of all, don't we look so good together 😏. I couldn't be happier that my hair decided to work with me, especially since we ended up rushing a wee bit. Look at these cuties!

BB actually found this place. It popped up on his TikTok algorithm. He saw how excited I was with the idea of trying this place out, and he got a reservation set up for us 🥰. Rock Steady is the name, and Afro-Caribbean cuisine is the game!

We picked out one appetizer, and two different entree dishes so we could share. Let's start with the app, Beef Empanadas 🤤. They look small, but blame the plate as they were just the right size and more than enough flavor. I almost wanted to order a set to go, they were that damn tasty!

BB ordered the Jerk grilled chicken, which he almost didn't go with due to the pictures online. We both convinced him [yes even himself lol], that the color was just due to the chicken marinating//cooking for 72hours. We were both happy he stuck with it, because boy was it fuggin delicious. A really good size too. It came over a bed of greens, and plantains. There was also a pretty tasty little slaw over top too.

I didn't want to order the Jerk chicken too, so I went with the Daily Catch Rundown. I think it sounded the best, but I also didn't pay attention to the flavor profile it would be. It ended up being sweeter than I expected....but still absolutely delicious! I was surprised too, since I'm usually not the biggest fan of sweet potatoes. Everything blended together so well on the fork. I would recommend letting them bring you a side of steamed rice to ensure you get all of those juices!
